3 quick tips to "join" someone's journey

I've recorded a brief vid (3 1/2 mins) with 3 simple, easy, empowering tips how to "join" someone who has dementia. A really impactful skill, it helps us to better connect with our loved one, acquaintance or client.

1) Respond with empathy, mirroring their emotions - rather than try to deescalate, redirect or distract.

2) "Tell me about that" - great to better understand their perception, their current emotional state and needs.

3) "Could you show me" - really effective if they're using a word you don't understand or if they have aphasia.
