Ensure the engagement is purposeful or meaningful to the person

Break down activities into manageable steps
Model what success looks like
Make sure the environment speaks to the action
Engagements can be a variety of things - "activities" like hobbies, crafts or gardening, and they can be everyday domestic or care actions
